My Story
I'm Lisa,
Passionate about British grown flowers, an advocate for natural, sustainable floristry and founder of Gate House Florals.
Gate House Florals A Rebellious Reaction!
When I couldn't find English grown flowers and the natural style of floristry I wanted, I thought I would do it myself.
I challenged myself to grow my own flowers to fill the vases in my house for a year. I knew nothing. Literally zero. I had a lot to learn. But I did it.
I now grow exquisite English country garden flowers with character, colour, and scent. I grow flowers in tune with nature, slowly and gently. My flowers capture the season, an English garden, countryside, meadow and hedgerow. My flowers are all naturally arranged, slightly wild, on the edge of tameness and always as sustainably as possible.
The Cutting Garden
We grow flowers on our family land between Bridgnorth and Albrighton in Shropshire. We have formal garden as well a dedicated cutting garden, an old deciduous woodland and the river Worfe running through. My initial three raised beds has turned into over 60 square metres of dedicated cut flower beds. Our flowers are hand sown, hand picked and arranged for you: for bouquets, for brides, for funerals, for workshops, for events.
The Floral Studio
I have trained as a grower and florist with the very best in the industry. I am so proud to be a member of Flowers from the Farm, The Sustainable Floristry Network and part of a new, modern aesthetic in British floral design.

SUSTAINABLE BLOOMS
Our flowers are the quintessential vintage English country flowers that we fondly remember from the lazy hot summers of our childhoods; sweet peas, dahlias, roses and more. They have scent , character and a little wildness at times. Stems may not always be straight, and there may be a nibble in a leaf - but that's nature isn't it? Our flowers are grown naturally without nasty chemicals or being dipped in silver nitrate to preserve them on a long flight. They are local, scented, seasonal, English garden blooms.
Our home and garden is nestled in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside, where the River Worfe runs through our land and woods. From April to September we grow, arrange and sell flowers for bunches, bouquets, bespoke farewell flowers & our floral workshops.
