FAREWELL FLOWERS
Gate House Florals specialises in beautiful, garden-inspired seasonal funeral flower arrangements. The flower arrangements are a naturally arranged and kind to the planet. We are able to provide flowers for natural burials.
Lisa works only with British grown seasonal flowers. In spring it's beautiful bluebells, narcissus, rununculus, and peonies, in summer it's garden roses, sweet peas, delphiniums, in autumn the arrangements include dahlias, chrysanthemums, grasses and seedheads, in winter a range of stunning winter foliage and berries with flowers from Cornwall and the Iles of Scilly. Farewell flowers are arranged naturally in moss or willow so that they are compostable and are suitable for natural burials.

CASKET TOP ARRANGEMENT
This is a single elegant arrangement that rests on the top of the coffin and is the main floral display. This tribute is full of seasonal fresh flowers and foliage arranged in moss on a compostable tray and is suitable for natural burials. It can be carried easily as one complete piece.

SHAREABLE CASKET ARRANGEMENT
The Shareable Casket Arrangement is created with 6-8 individually wrapped bouquets of different sizes. The bouquets are tied to a firm wooden or compostable base to form the appearance of one central floral arrangement. Suitable for natural burial.
At the end of the service the individual bouquets are easily separated and can be gifted or used as posies in vases to display at the wake.

HAND-TIED SHEAF
A Sheaf is like a bouquet but it is designed with a firmer back of foliage so that it can be laid flat on the coffin top. It is tied at the stem base with raffia or a coloured ribbon of your choice. A Sheaf can be the main floral arrangement on a coffin or can be an additional tribute from family and friends. It can be easily carried to lay at a graveside. The stems are kept in fresh water until required, but can also be wrapped in a floral biodegradable wrap to keep them hydrated for a longer travel time out of water.

Layered Sheaf:
Create a full coffin top of flowers by taking 3 or more hand tied sheafs and laying them across the coffin. The individual sheafs are easily lifted and carried to the graveside or to the wake to display in vases

HAND-TIED BOUQUET
A bouquet of flowers and foliage beautifully arranged in a spiral and tied with twine and raffia or ribbon.
A bouquet is a smaller tribute and is easily carried to lay at the service, graveside, venue and can be shared at the end of the day.
Suitable for natural burial.

WREATH
Wreaths are a circle of seasonal fresh flowers and foliage or fresh little plants all tied with garden twine onto a sustainable moss base on a circle of either reusable wire or hand woven willow. Any little plants used can easily be separated to plant in a garden to continue growing. The wreath will gently grow and fade when it is placed outside in the rain. Suitable for natural burial.

FLOWER FILLED BOOTS
A truly personal tribute of your loved one's favourite boots filled with flowers. These will raise a smile as a tribute for someone who had a hobby they loved e.g. hiking, gardening, DIY. The flowers are placed in a waterproof container which is hidden in the boots.

FLOWER FILLED
BASKET OR TRUG
This is a beautiful vintage style basket or garden trug brimming with flowers arranged into little jam jars of water. Each jam jar is nestled securely in place so that the whole basket can be carried and placed on the coffin and then taken to the graveside or venue after the service
The jam jars of flowers can easily be lifted out of the basket to become pretty and informal table posies to decorate the wake venue. The bunches of flowers can also be shared out at the end of the day. You may already have a trug or basket that can be filled with flowers or I can provide one which is returned to Gate House Florals.
