We offer truly beautiful funeral flowers and a bespoke service.
Our funeral flowers are all grown here in Shropshire by us and by other local British flower farms. Our sympathy arrangements are seasonal; reflecting nature, an English garden and the English countryside. You are welcome to include elements from your own and loved one's garden too as we know flowers have very special meaning and memories.
Delivery to Funeral Directors in Shifnal, Bridgnorth, Codsall, & Albrighton and to Wrottesley Park Natural Burial site is included in the price. Outside of these areas you are welcome to collect your arrangement directly from us.

OUR FUNERAL FLOWER OPTIONS:
SPRAY OF FLOWERS
A traditional abundant display of fresh flowers and foliage that is the one main floral display that sits on the top of the coffin. This is a beautiful single tribute evoking an English country garden and countryside with flowers allowed to follow their natural lines and curves as they do in nature. Every arrangement is unique to the moment in time, season and place. Flowers and foliage are cut and gathered from our Shropshire garden and grounds or from our own trusted local growers.
We can also include little plants and spring bulbs that can be replanted. The spray can also be made truly personal by including stems from your own or the deceased garden and grounds.
All stems are arranged in moss or in jars of water on a base that is returnable, reusable or home compostable. It is suitable for natural burials and Church of England graveyards. No single use plastics or floral foam is used.
If you would like the arrangement to be shareable then we offer option 2 where we can create individual posies and arrange them into glass jam jars. It will still look like one whole spray but the posies can easily be redesigned to use as table centres at the wake or to be shared to friends and family at the end.

SEASONAL SHEAF OF FLOWERS
A Sheaf is similar to a bouquet but it is has a flat side so that it can be laid on the top of a coffin. It is tied at the stem base with raffia. A Sheaf can be the main floral arrangement on a coffin or can be an additional tribute from family and friends. It can be easily carried to lay at a graveside after a service. The stems are kept in fresh water until required, but can also be wrapped in a floral biodegradable wrap to keep them hydrated for a longer travel time out of water.

Layered Sheaf:
Create a full coffin top of flowers by taking 3 hand tied sheafs and laying them across the coffin. The individual sheafs are easily lifted and carried to the graveside or to the wake to display in vases

FRESH FLOWER WREATH
Wreaths represent eternal life. A wreath of fresh flowers and evergreen foliage or fresh plants is a beautiful choice of farewell arrangement. Our wreaths are lovingly hand made on a twisted willow or vine base. The base is covered in our freshly harvested Shropshire moss and decorated with seasonal foliage and flowers. The wreath will gently grow and biodegrade when it is placed outside. We can also include little plants that can be easily separated to replant in memory. Suitable for natural burials and compostable at Church of England sites.
Price
Sizes of the wreath can vary slightly as it is a handmade product. As a guide:

A BASKET OF BLOOMS
A beautifully simple and elegant basket or garden trug brimming with blooms and fresh foliage all arranged into little concealed jam jars of water. Each jam jar is nestled securely in place so that the whole basket can be carried and placed on the coffin and then taken to the graveside or venue after the service. The jam jars of flowers can easily be lifted out of the basket to become pretty and informal table posies to decorate the tables at the wake . The posies can also be shared out at the end of the day. You may already have a trug or basket that can be filled with flowers or we can provide one which is returned to Gate House Florals.

FLOWER FILLED BOOTS
A truly personal tribute of your loved one's favourite boots filled with flowers. These will raise a smile as a tribute for someone who had a hobby or job outdoors that they loved e.g. hiking, gardening, DIY. The flowers are placed in a waterproof container which is hidden in the boots.

IVY AND FLORAL GARLANDS
FRESH ENGLISH IVY GARLAND
Ivy is woven together to form a soft and natural fresh green garland. This garland is attached to the outside of a woven wicker or willow coffin.
